Sejo Jahic has been in technology since 1992. He has held business and technology roles ranging from Engineer to Vice President at a variety of companies including Pepsi International, Cambridge Technology Partners, and Homesite Insurance.Mr. Jahic has in-depth knowledge of technology project management, process/procedure, system architecture, database design, and data analysis. His work has included architecting and implementing cross-functional systems for companies such as GE, the Salvation Army, and PG&E (many of which are still in use around the world today). He has expertise in most languages in use today, and has written “black box” software that translates algorithms written by “quants” into (sometimes very large) securities trades. He has also been retained many times as an expert on a variety intellectual property matters.Raised in Sarajevo (former Yugoslavia), Mr. Jahic left Bosnia to study at the Czech Technical University in Prague, Europe’s oldest technology university. He earned his Master’s degree (in Czech) in Electrical Engineering, specializing in bio-cybernetics. He is fluent in four languages. Mr. Jahic lives in San Francisco with his wife and their two daughters.
Steve Walker has over 20 years of experience in IT and technology. Before Iteon, Steve held engineering and management positions at Cohesive (later Exodus), Good Technology, 3Com, and Bechtel. He has worked all over the world on a wide variety of interesting projects. In 1995, Steve helped BHP Minerals migrate mail systems for over 100,000 users--the initial phase alone involved moving 13,000 users in 17 countries from one mail program to another in one night. In 1998-1999, he led the build-out and operation of the Hotmail Datacenters, where he was responsible for over 15,000 servers. A graduate of the UC Berkeley in 1990, Steve holds expert certifications from HP, Microsoft, Sun, and Cisco, and is considered an authority on computer forensics, security, and high-speed networks. Married with three children and residing in Lafayette, CA, he is also one of a small number of people who have successfully swum the English Channel.
Jay Goldberg is the Consulting Services Manager, bringing over 15 years of technical and business consulting experience to Iteon. He is acting CIO for many of Iteon’s clients and is responsible for annual fiscal planning, growth strategies and future technology development. Jay’s responsibilities include Iteon’s service delivery, new hires, consulting utilization, consultant training, and new client acquisitions. Jay’s technical background includes Windows 2000-2008 Servers, Terminal Server, Hyper-V, Exchange 2003-2010, MS Office through 2010, server room build out’s, technology consolidation, and network moves. Jay supports technologies on a daily basis in addition to his management role.Prior to Iteon Jay was Director of Partner Services and Senior Managing Consultant for nationwide IT consulting firm with over 200 consultants. Jay's responsibilities included supervising over 20 direct reports in the S.F. Bay area, and the development and management of a national small business assessment program for Dell Computers throughout 22 offices across the U.S.. Jay was instrumental in instructing Dell on both technical and business requirements for the SMB market growing the first year operations to $2 million in revenues. In 2009 Jay was appointed to the Microsoft Advisory Board in Redmond, WA. for new product development.Jay earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Criminal Justice Management from California State University Sacramento, a Juris Doctor Degree from Empire College of Law, and was granted a U.S. Patent in 2010. When not consulting, Jay enjoys traveling with his family and wildlife photography.
Ken is Iteon’s Chief Architect. He has been in technology since well before 1990, when he started his first consulting company. He loves technology, but even more important, he really enjoys helping people. Ken has been at the forefront of technology throughout his career and has a great deal of experience in fault-tolerant, high-availability networking using VMware and SAN technology. His networking skills are excellent, and he is a creative problem-solver. When Ken isn’t investigating the newest technology or adding that extra communication to make sure a client is happy, he can be found spending time with his wife and daughter, usually doing something outdoors.
Amanda has been working in the computer industry since 1997, specializing in server administration, security, and network administration. Her expertise includes Active Directory, Group Policy, Rights and Permissions administration and delegation, as well as extensive Exchange expertise. Amanda also has extensive experience with planning and performing NT/Windows 2000/2003/2008 migrations for both large and small enterprises. Additionally, she specializes in Disaster Recovery preparedness, solutions, and testing.Many who have worked with her describe her as having "written the book on Group Policy." This is in fact true--she wrote chapters in both “Exchange Server 2003 Unleashed,” and “Windows 2003 Insider Solutions," two of the most respected books available, and is indeed considered an authority. Amanda has her MCSE in Windows NT, Windows 2000, and Windows 2003.Amanda is a graduate of University of Colorado, Boulder with a BA in History. She is married with 2 daughters and enjoys reading, snowboarding, backpacking, and traveling.
Jon Putnam is a trustworthy, quick-minded problem solver with over 13 years professional experience in Technology. With a wide range of skills and a unique ability to think outside the box, Jon is able to exceed his client's expectations by under promising and over delivering. He has been called the Rainmaker of the group and “the guy you want on your side in tough situations.” While he is considered a Jack of all trades when it comes to IT, he specializes in Hardware. Jon has been with Iteon Consulting for over 3 years during which time he has quickly risen through the ranks to be one of the most senior and valued players on the Iteon Team.Jon holds a degree Computer Video Imaging with extensive Post Grad Study in Information Technology. His hobbies include Debate, The outdoors, Audio Video Technology, Rock climbing, and reading.
Matthew Kell built his first computer in the 5th grade. A few short years later he called Microsoft and asked what encryption they used for user accounts on Windows 95 because his dad had forgotten his password. Not long after that Matthew asked himself “I wonder what it would take to host websites and email”, he turned to Google. Shortly after, he compiled his first Linux Kernel and coded a PHP/MYSQL web hosting control panel from scratch, complete with payment processing and one click installers. Matthew continued to develop his Linux and server skills, by 17 he had successfully used ARP poisoning to redirect his entire school’s network to an alternate router before anyone else realized the main router had failed. Matthew is now a Network Engineer with 6 years of professional experience.The phrase ‘ A Jack of all trades and master of most’ was coined to describe Matt. With vast experience in OS X, Linux, All versions of Windows and Windows server, and many mobile devices, he is never afraid of a new challenge. He has also successfully captured a forensically sound disk image of an iPhone, and developed a fix for QuickBooks Server technology. He has a passion for technology rivaled only by his desire to overcome the next obstacle. His specialties include DNS, troubleshooting SMTP servers, network security and troubleshooting, specifically active packet sniffing and traffic analysis. An extremely quick and efficient troubleshooter, Matthew brings a unique perspective to the team, and offers creative solutions to solve otherwise complicated technological challenges.A nationally registered Emergency Medical Technician, and an Eagle Scout, Matthew is rarely stagnate. With 2 years of experience as volunteer 911 response in a rural Wyoming town, and 5 years as Camp Medic for a Cub Scout camp, Matt can save your network and your life, although the latter is a priority. He Enjoys hunting, fishing, being in the outdoors, and of course technology. If he isn’t thinking about Elk or servers he’s probably thinking of another way to gain access to your network, so he can secure that too.
Over the past decade, Tomer has developed his expertise in Microsoft servers, storage, hardware, VMware, VoIP, backup solutions, forensics, and networking. He meticulously researches and tests upcoming technology to stay on the cutting edge, has incredible attention to detail, and has extensive knowledge of Macintosh. After completing his Israeli military service in a Special Forces unit (which he does not talk about), Tomer traveled the Pacific to become a Divemaster, finally settling in the U.S. in 2003. His experiences at EMC, Logitech, and with NetApp have enabled him to develop a deep understanding of a broad array of technologies. Currently living in the East Bay with his wife and dog, Tomer spends his free time enjoying everything coffee related, as well as traveling, hiking, eating gourmet food, and researching the latest in computer technology.
Will has been working in information technology since the age of thirteen when he was tasked with providing phone support and Linux system administration for a local internet service provider. He commands expertise in all major computer operating systems as well as an in-depth knowledge of networking and computer security. His technical specialties include high availability/cluster computing, virtualization technologies, disaster recovery architecture, and SQL database management. With clients, his focus has been on financial software, including Bloomberg, Eze, Advent, and other trading and back-office applications. He also has an excellent touch with bash, tcsh, PERL, VBScript, Java, C++, the .NET Framework, and of course HTML. Mr. Pizzano holds a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science, Cum Laude, from the State University of New York at New Paltz. On the side, he enjoys spending time in the outdoors, traveling and cooking a fine Italian dinner.
Arnaud is an American/French dual citizen with a love for technology. He has been building computers and installing networking hardware for family and friends since the age of 12. After dabbling in AI programming, software development, and web design, he is now aiming to master network infrastructure and server installation at Iteon.Born in Connecticut and raised in the French Caribbean, he obtained a degree in Computer Science from Paris XII University before moving to San Francisco to study programming. In his free time, Arnaud enjoys reading, engaging in Socratic debate, playing video games, and learning useless factoids from Wikipedia's Science portal.
Chris is an accomplished Software Engineer with a thorough knowledge of the software lifecycle and a driving need to solve problems. He has a proven track record of designing and implementing flexible solutions, which support frequent UI and functionality changes. Chris possesses extensive knowledge on the Microsoft .Net Framework, experience in developing multi-tier applications involving Windows, Web applications and Web services. C#, SQL, HTML, AJAX, jQuery, PHP, XML, VBA for Office, Silverlight, WPF, and WCF are but a few languages and technologies known and liked by Chris.Born and raised in Switzerland, Chris is fluent in English and German. He is married and the proud father of two girls. He likes to spend his free time with his children, playing blues guitar, dancing Swing and loves to tear up the mountain on his snowboard.
Jacob is a Software Developer with a passion for engineering, algorithms, and programming aesthetics. Coupled with the breadth of his programming knowledge, his background in mathematics enables him to tackle complicated development tasks with robust, efficient solutions. His skills include programming in C#.NET, WPF, ASP.NET, Visual Basic, C++, Perl and Javascript, and extend to Salesforce development and SQL optimization. In addition, Jacob has particular interests in program architecture and multi-tiered application design.In his spare time, Jacob enjoys skiing, hiking, and learning to cook beyond the use of a microwave.
Since his early childhood, Alen has been very interested in computer science and software development. He first started developing simple computer games at the age of 8. He developed his first software accounting application at the age of 12, which he successfully sold to several companies in his hometown. He has been truly dedicated to software development ever since. Alen is a reliable, hard working and eager-to-learn employee. He develops flexible, secure and most importantly well structured multi-tier applications. He also successfully develops fast and flexible software solutions.His knowledge of computer languages is very broad, and he is a true expert in the following programming languages: Visual C#, Visual Basic and C++, web technologies: XHTMS, CSS and Photoshop, interactive web applications with jQuery and Javascript, VBA for Office, TSQL and many other technologies. Harun previously worked as a contractor for an IT company in Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina and focused on networking and Windows issues. Since coming to Iteon, Harun has mastered application development and extended his programming knowledge, performing such in-house functions as creating Iteon’s business tracking application project, which included integration with Intuit’s QuickBooks 2005 bookkeeping application.Harun’s programming skills include the following languages: Visual C#, Visual Basic, C++, ASP.NET, _JavaScript, HTML, PHP and SQL. He is most familiar with Microsoft’s Visual Studio integrated development environment and is well trained in software engineering, including development and maintenance methods, unified modeling language (UML 2.0), object-oriented analysis and design and object-oriented programming. Harun’s skills also include Adobe Photoshop, Corel Draw, Macromedia Flash, and Quark Express.Married and the father of a five year-old daughter and a three-year old son, Harun enjoys spending time with his family. He is also a passionate biker with mechanical skills far beyond a simple oil change.
