Growing IT outsourcing consulting
company looking for an engineer with 5-10 years experience working on Windows based
servers, with extensive experience with MS Exchange, and with experience with different
backup solutions (including VERITAS, Windows NT Backup, and other packages). Engineer
will be well versed with trouble-shooting desktop IP, DHCP, DNS and other similar
workstation/server issues, and should have extensive experience with other areas
of networking and systems administration as well.
The successful applicant will be working
in a consultant role at Iteon clients, solving network, server, and desktop issues.
Applicant must be polished, move fast and accurately, and be able to communicate
clearly with executives, attorneys, partners, and other important clients. The successful
applicant will clearly understand that solving the problem is not always the same
thing as finding the technical solution.
The successful applicant will be a
fast learner, and should have a strong intellectual curiosity. This is a growth
position. There will be a one-month training period during which new technologies
and client networks will be introduced. There will be extensive opportunities for
technical growth and hands-on training. Within one year, there will be significant
exposure to routing, firewalls, DNS, active directory, 2003, load balancing, wireless,
network security and architecture, and other important technologies.
This is a long-term position. We will
be investing in the person we hire.
